DAN RICHARDSON

Civilian Instructor - Krav Maga Birmingham

Grade: Graduate Level 2

Dan has been practicing martial arts since 1991 and first began his martial arts training in traditional Japanese styles whilst at University, concentrating in Wado Ryu Karate, where he received his 1st dan, and Aikido. During this time Dan also trained in various other Japanese styles including Shorinji Kempo and Nimpo Taijitsu.

Dan began his Krav Maga training under Steve Maycock in June 2006 and he was immediately impressed with the simplicity and reality of both the system and the training.

Dan was entered the Krav Maga Birmingham Instructor Development Program leading to his entry onto and passing the IKMF Civilian Instructor Course. Dan’s Krav training has taken him across the country and to both Poland and The Netherlands.
